Vampire Glow-Removal Mod Updated - Now With Flavors!

Thanks to Mura and Valpre, I updated the Dead People Don't Glow with two new flavors. You can now remove the vampire glow from eyes and skin separately.

Download in Dead People Don't Glow post.

I'm pretty glad now. My favorite combination is regular eyes with glowy skin.

Sim by Shock&Shame (a little modified) --- Earrings by Lemon Leaf --- 3D eye lashes by S-Club Privee

Hair by Elexis/Peggy --- Eyeball sliders by AWT

If you want to play with the different overlay options by yourself, it is easily doable with NRaas Debug Enabled:
  1. Download NRaas DebugEnabler
  2. In game, click on the sim and select NRaas -> Debug Enabler -> Options:Sim -> Visual Override
  3. Pick the override you want

    2. Thanks again for testing it for me. I was stuck until you helped me!

  2. Wow, thank you so much for this! I like the combination of regular eyes and glowy skin too. I use default eyes that are smaller than EA's so the vampire eyes looked so weird; very happy to have this mod!

  3. Congrats Misu! I thought it wasn't possible due to your last little report. I'm glad you found a way to do it.

  4. This is perfect! I, too, like the skin glow but not the eye glow, so I'm really grateful for this version of the mod! :)

Is there any chance you would consider removing the werewolf eye glow as well? Like Iggysaurus, I use smaller eyes so the glow looks very strange.

  5. Thanks Iggysaurus, Mura.

Notaverb, I don't have supernatural EP yet. I'm not too keen on putting out mods I cannot test myself. Otherwise it would not be a bad task.

  6. Nice mod ! I love how the vampire male model looks like Jean-Claude from the Anita Blake series ;) (even though he's simple)
I didn't see that the hair he's wearing was available for men ?
Would you be willing to make him available to download ?

    Have a good day !

    1. Thanks LFE.

He is Jean-Claude in my game :)

I used NRaas mastercontroller to remove the gender restriction from hairs to be able to use the hair.

I don't think I can upload him as my own, as I used one of IMHO's sims as a base. And he doesn't have the scars etc. Sorry!

  7. Wish there was a way to disable the visual override for every supernatural (except aliens of course). Nraas' DebugEnabler only disables them temporarily...

  8. Do you need NRASS for this to work because I downloaded the no skin glow mod but it hasn't been working :( Is it because i'm making a vamp in CAS maybe?

    1. No, you don't need NRaas mods for this to work. But it only works in-game, not in CAS. The skin will continue to grow in CAS, but it changes when you un-pause the game next time.

  9. Is the no vampire glow for eyes v2 compatible with patch 1.63
Also I have put this face overlay fix on my default eyes. Will they conflict.
I am trying to remove the dark sclera that the vampires have will this help?

  10. I'm having the same problem as the previous person. The skin itself is clear when I look at the sim in live-mode but the Portrait and the floaty head still has that ugly skin color. Since I don't play my game zoomed in on my sim it feels like nothing's different.

    1. Sorry to hear that. I've moved to play the Sims 4 so I'm not updating my Sims 3 mods anymore.

If someone wants to modify/fix them, just go ahead. They are in the public repo linked to the sidebar (same where the issue tracker is connected).
